As we near the end of October, autumn is finally hitting the University of Maryland campus. With the weather cooling down, our favorite fall fashion trends can make their annual appearance! Read on to find out what students are wearing this season.

Fall Staple: Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Boot
Bella Dos Santos, a sophomore criminology and criminal justice major, has been making “Day in the Life as a College Student at UMD” and “Work Outfits of The Week” TikTok videos @belladossantos2, where you can see her sporting her favorite seasonal pieces.
Dos Santos says her Ugg Classic Ultra Mini Boots are her go-to this fall. She pairs them with any sweat set and comfy outfit. She loves them because they feel just as comfy as slippers.
“But they’re boots instead and make my outfit look slightly more put together,” says Dos Santos.
Dos Santos favorite brands for sweat sets include White Fox, OurSeasons, and The Beach Club Shop. She also enjoys pairing the sets with vests or puffy jackets.

Izzy Murphy, a freshman elementary education major, has been a fan of styling her favorite cropped knit sweater this fall. She says it’s a great transitional piece for the start of fall because she can layer it, or keep it light. She loves to play around with styling it by dressing it up with accessories like layered necklaces, pairing it with a fun colored tank, or curating a more comfortable look with sweatpants or flared leggings. Ella Sinciline, a senior sociology major and an avid Free People fan, loves to sport her “We The Free Ziggy Denim Overalls” as the weather cools down.
“They’re a little oversized, which means that they have a lot of room to layer and keep me nice and warm,” said Sinciline.
When the fall weather really starts to ramp up, Sinciline likes to pair her overalls with a chunky sweater underneath or a fuzzy flannel over them. She also wears fuzzy socks with her favorite Chelsea boots to pull it all together.
What will you be wearing this fall? Maryland weather is notoriously unpredictable on a weekly basis, so layers and lighter transition pieces from season to season are probably your best bets. Dress an outfit up with jewelry and accessories, or dress it down with some comfy shoes!
