For art enthusiasts, theHirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Gardenis just a train ride away. Located on the National Mall, the museum hosts more than 750,000 visitors a year, making it one of the most visited art museums in the country. The museum is free admission, so go ahead and stroll through the gardens and exhibition galleries, which are full of modern and contemporary art. On the museum's third floor, the Lerner Room offers a spectacular view of the Washington skyline, where you can take those last moments of that summer feeling.
If you’re looking for an exciting live performance, consider heading to the Kreeger Theater to catch a live performance of Jaja’s African Hair Braiding. As the autumn approaches, nature will soon start changing scenary. If you want one last chance to enjoy all the greenery, consider visiting the U.S. Botanic Garden for free or the Georgetown Waterfront Park. They are both great places to enjoy these last few warm days of summer.
